Want to spend time outdoors in the country? Plan to visit the three wineries on the Washington County Wine Trail! Combine that with visits to the Chappell Hill Lavender Farm and Lavande Lavender Farm. Add in the Antique Rose Emporium, Washington-on-the-Brazos State Historic Park, the Texas Cotton Gin in Burton, and Lake Somerville for some great outdoor adventures. All ages enjoy Horseshoe Junction Family Fun Park for bumper boats, mini golf and go-cart action. There's way too much to see in one day! Plan to stay a few days.
There's also plenty to do INDOORS...from touring the famous Blue Bell Creameries factory to museums, art galleries and wonderful unique shops. Great dining spots, live music and live theatre venues, roller skating, a six-screen movie theatre with 3D screens and laser tag!!!
You'll want to take a few minutes to view the beautiful Washington County Visitor's Guide before you visit! It has details on all attractions, lodging, dining and shopping options with maps to get you around. You can request to have a free copy mailed to you, or you can view it online at www.VisitBrenhamTexas.com.
