It's time for the
2008 Spring Antiques Shows!

For over 30 years now, the antiques shows in and around Round Top and Burton have drawn thousands of visitors to this area the first weekends in April and October. The visitors begin arriving up to a week before the shows, too!

New Hotel Opens in Brenham

Just in time for the big "antiques weeks," the new La Quinta Inn & Suites of Brenham will officially be open for business this week (by Saturday). Membership Survey

Later this week, a survey will be sent out to all of the 740+ members of the Washington County Chamber of Commerce. The primary representatives at each business/organization will receive a copy in the mail. The survey can be filled out and returned by fax or it can be taken online. (There is a link on the Chamber's home page at www.BrenhamTexas.com.)

The survey is being coordinated by the Member Retention & Services committee, chaired by Sherald Bell of Del Sol Food Company. The goal is to receive input from members about the programs and services that are of most value, along with suggestions for future activities.

"Arts & Appetizers"
this Wednesday starting at 5:30pm

Hosted by the Brenham ISD Education Foundation, this is a fundraising event auctioning select works of art created by students of Brenham public schools.

Find something unique and beautiful for your home or office! The silent auction will include about 60 pieces of elementary and secondary student art. About 16 pieces will be in the live auction.

5:00 pm - Doors open for preview
5:30 pm - Silent auction
6:30 pm - Live auction

The event will be held on March 26 at Brenham High School in the Foyer and Courtyard. There will also be live entertainment by students for you to enjoy. For more information, call (979) 277-3700.

Seniors Day 2008
Tuesday, April 1

The staff at Trinity Medical Center would like to invite everyone to the 11^th Annual Seniors Day to be held on April 1st from 10am to 2pm at the Fireman's Training Center in Brenham.

There is no age requirement to attend, family members and friends of seniors are also welcomed...and everything is FREE! This includes health screenings, informational booths, entertainment and refreshments.

Trinity works in partnership with about 60 area agencies, organizations, businesses (including numerous Chamber members!) and healthcare providers to present this event. Call Trinity Wellness Center at 979-830-5017 for more information. Hope to see you at Seniors Day!

B&B Owners Meeting

All bed & breakfast and small lodging property owners in the area are invited to attend the next meeting of B&B Owners. It will be held on Wednesday, March 26, at 9:00 a.m. at the Washington County Chamber office.

A special guest presenter will be Lisa Cangelosi with KBTX- TV. The group will also discuss the Geiger Public Relations press visit that was held last week with over a dozen journalists.
