SEEKING A FEW GOOD
MEN AND WOMEN...

As a Chamber member, you are invited to join in the process to nominate future board members. The Chamber needs 7 new board members each year to fill a three-year term.  Suitable candidates will fit this description:

- An active member of the business community and the Chamber
- dedicated to Washington County, Texas
- a decision maker in his or her field
- interested in serving as a volunteer
- a person with vision; a leader
- good communication skills
- able to attend monthly board meetings, held the 3rd Wednesday of the month at noon

Please give this some consideration, and help us find the right people to steer your Chamber of Commerce in the future.  Submit nominations to the Chamber office in writing from now until July 31, 2007. You can send them by mail, fax or email. Thank you!

LEADERSHIP
WASHINGTON COUNTY

Applications are now being accepted for the 2007-08 LWC program.  You can pick up a blank form at the Chamber, or call to have one mailed to you. The application deadline is July 31.

This program is for you if you are interested in:

  • Learning more about the key issues and problems facing our community.

  • Developing relationships with other influential leaders in Washington County.

  • Making a difference in the future of our community.

  • Being a leader rather than a follower.

Participants will get a fuller sense of the needs and issues facing Brenham and Washington County over the ten-month program. They will also receive training to acquire the necessary leadership skills to play a role in shaping the successful future of our community.

If your business is interested in sponsoring an employee, or if you would like more information for yourself, please contact the Chamber at (979) 836-3695.
