Buy Local Many people do not realize the importance of shopping in your own community. Sales tax dollars kept here support your local police department, fire department, parks and recreation facilities, road projects, businesses and workforce. To heighten awareness about “Buying Local,” the Washington County Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring three contests in 2008! During this contest in May, all residents are invited to stop by the Chamber and show a receipt from a local purchase made May 2-11 to receive an entry into a $250 GRAND PRIZE DRAWING! Three total prizes will be awarded in Chamber Certifichecks.
