Bird Sightings

Last night(10/28) I heard a Common Nighthawk calling during a wedding reception in Brenham. Late date for this species in the Central Brazos Valley.

This afternoon(10/29) I spent some time birding on private property in the Peach Creek community in southern Brazos County. The Navasota River bottomland tract is one of my favorite birding sites in Texas. Recent heavy rains have replenished the sloughs, ponds, and creek on the property.
